I was today old when I learned of Dia de la Altagracia. In one of my “conversations with Mami” she mentioned that today was the feast day of Our Lady of Altagracia in Dominican Republic. She talked about how people would take a pilgrimage to the church in Higuey with offerings to pray for intercession to be healed and other miracles. It got her emotional just thinking about the amount of faith the people who took this pilgrimage had and thought of her own faith. She’s been through a lot the last few years but through it all she has maintained her faith for better days. Faith is part of healing. We all need to connect within and have faith that all will be okay. In honor of Our Lady of Altagracia, we lit a candle for all those who seek solace and peace in their lives. May you be surrounded by the healing light of your Angels, Spirit Guides and Ancestors and know that everything will be alright.

Welcome to my journey as I learn and incorporate herbs and essential oils into my daily life. Herbs have always been a part of my life. Unfortunately, I didn’t put much focus on it growing up and I now wish I did, particularly with my mother and aunts getting older. But, it’s never too late. I’m currently studying to be a herbal aromatherapist and will expand on what has been passed down to me. I’m excited to be in this journey and will share what I learn and how I use it in my life. I hope that it inspires you so we can collectively become more in tune with our own natural healing power.
